Dan McNay has purchased millions of dollars worth of computers for USC, won the staff speed calculator competition at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, paddled around Catalina Island with a bunch of Boy Scouts, sold used and rare books in the French Quarter, collected blood from unborn calves in a Utah slaughter house, lectured on Robbe-Grillet, worked the night shift in Monterey, San Francisco & Tucson, and owned and ran a cemetery in Illinois- not necessarily in that order.
He may be the tallest banjo player in the world.
His latest incarnation is lead man for Rhubarb Meringue Pie A great dessert. –but also a great local folk band. Playing covers of the songs all age groups will recognize, they mix in a little John Denver, Judy Collins, Leonard Cohen & Johnny Cash with old time folk songs and the modern music of Old Crow Medicine Show and Sarah Jarozw as well as original songs written by Dan. And they follow only the best of the gourmet food trucks. They are now the popular regular act at Westchester First Fridays in the Westchester Triangle and recently added Golf N Stuff Fridays in Norwalk. Three hours of music that you can sing along with.
