Hip-hop legends Pete Rock and CL Smooth will headline the third annual One Nation Hip-Hop Summit on the campus of Santa Monica High School on Saturday, Nov. 6. Supporting acts include Onyx, X-Clan and buzzing local acts including Overdoz and Rhyme Addicts, among others.
Before the concert to cap the all-day conference, a panel discussion will be held with Chang Weisberg, the founder of Rock the Bells Festival and Guerilla Union; Quincy “QD3” Jones III, music and film producer; Jody Armour, professor of law at the University of Southern California; Jeff Weiss, a music critic for Los Angeles Times and the LA Weekly; Terrace Martin, multi-platinum producer; and James Leach, vice president at SESAC’s L.A. office. Tupac’s mentor and first manager Leila Steinberg will moderate the panel.
