This time we are bringing the Biggest International talent we have booked to date!
In the decade that has passed since Lee Burridge discovered acid house music, raided the local record shops of Bournemouth and took to the decks, his illustrious DJ career has spanned at least three continents and seen him work alongside some of the England's most revered DJ's.
In 1991 the South Coast scene was no match for Lee's dexterous talents and Hong Kong beckoned with the promise of a residency that would put Hong Kong on the clubbing map. Six years later, the undisputed King of the colony was guesting at most of the big club tour parties in Hong Kong, including Cream, Ministry, Malibu Stacey and Northern Exposure.
In 1993 Lee turned his attentions to the now legendary full moon parties at Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand, with his residency at the back-yard club providing an inspirational alternative to the more standard nights around.
Future projects already promise to launch Lee into the DJing stratosphere and confirm his position as a face to watch on the scene. His residencies at Tyrant, both at The Bomb and Fabric, Golden and Cream continues to provide clubbers with the slick, hard, deep house, trancey, breakbeat sounds they have come to expect from him and his guest appearances at Gatecrasher, Sugarshack, United, Rhumba and Kelly's Port Rush have introduced his style to club goers all over the country. Last year Lee broadened his DJ diary horizons to take in Thailand, Ireland, South America, Ibiza, Israel and Hong Kong where international club goers have voted with their feet for Lee's driving progressive style. 2000 will see him play in Greece, Ibiza, the States, Brazil and undertake an Asian tour.
In 1999 Lee honed his studio techniques with the release of his mix CD 'Metropolis' (released on Tide), which received the Compilation of The Month thumbs up in Muzik. Future projects in the pipeline include collaborations with Breeder and Hybrid, a break beat track with Andy Page (who previously collaborated with Sasha), and various other remix projects including work for several other labels.
With 1999 already a distant memory, the accolades Lee received - a new entry @ no. 33 in DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ Poll, Muzik's DJ Of The Month and Mixmag's Best Up and Coming DJ, are the perfect platform to consolidate his rise in 2000 with the launch of his monthly Tyrant night with Craig Richards at Fabric and the launch of the Tyrant Compilation series on Distinctive Breaks which will showcase Lee and Craig Richards legendary DJ sets as previously seen at Space in Ibiza and The Bonaparte at the last two Notting Hill Carnivals.
The Tyrant series is set to kick off in May with a series of parties stretching the breadth of the country surrounding the launch dates.
Doc Martin - Sublevel
Doc Martin’s live sets truly bring people together. The variation in his style of music is endless. What makes him so different from the rest? A unique ability to spin everything from deep house vocals that have much depth and meaning to us all in some way, to his funky tribal Bass lines mixed with threads of acid, his passive collection of classics rare records that are only to be heard at his gigs. Doc Martin has developed the respect as a house DJ that so many of us admire. It is this respect that keeps him constantly touring; from New York to London, Japan, and everywhere in between.
When it comes to Gonzalo Menoyo, it’s all about the music…
Throughout the years he has never ceased to amaze his fans and the industry. Working with zeal, passion and philosophy Gonzalo Menoyo is continuously looking for ways to bring his talent to a higher level. Not only is he one of Spain’s most talented international DJ’s, he has also booked success as an Art Director, record label Co-manager and Producer. His creativity, feel for music and unique style will unavoidably captivate you; be it during a live gig, through one of his radio shows or one of his meticulous productions. His sets are led by groove and rhythm; at times deep and underground, other times more fresh and tribal depending on the atmosphere he wants to create. Gonzalo Menoyo’s musical style identifies with the ’feeling’ he wants to put forward in his music by connecting with the people and bringing the focus back to the dance floor. Gonzalo will definitely make you move to the beat… Gonzalo Menoyo prefers to work with professional truths in both music and collaborations. Working internationally provides opportunities to further broaden his horizons. He understands the competitiveness, yet still chooses to follow his own ideals and style and has managed to maintain this with success while evolving over the years. ’Patience and a strong belief in what you want to bring across are the key to success… ‘. Gonzalo plays at top clubs in Spain’s major cities and at the finest clubs across the world. In addition he works with several of the most important radio stations in Spain and Europe where his sets are broadcasted in radio shows. He also received recognition of his achievements by ranking in the top 20 of Deejaymags DJ of the year 2008 election. Gonzalo Menoyo has explored more opportunities to broaden his horizons. He has successfully held a position as Artistic Director where he was responsible for the selection and management of the line-up and has been the co-manager of the label Clarisse Records (2006 - 2008) where he was partially responsible for the independent release of ‘Desperate’, which received very promising reviews from the industry. It was only a matter of time that Gonzalo’s talent would be recognized and he was soon approached by leading Spanish labels like Urbana Recordings, Factomania Digital and Iberican Recordings Digital, a sub-label of Stereo Productions to produce remixes for several of their artist’s releases. In 2008 He received worldwide support by radio stations as Hed Kandy (UK) and Radio FG (France) for his debut remix of Deux ‘The Time Is Now (To Celebrate Life)’, which reached the highest positions at the main online download stores.
