Dublin native Marcus Lambkin aligned with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and began producing and remixing under Shit Robot -- a reference to Murphy’s poor drawing skills. Lambkin released four left-field house singles -- mutations of electro, deep house, classic Detroit techno, and old-school rave -- on Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy's DFA label. He has remixed Dondolo, Kaos, Simian Mobile Disco, Idioma and Juan Maclean. His debut album, From the Cradle to the Rave, was released on DFA in 2010.
