Saturday June 25th Kiss n Grind BET Edition The BET edition of Kiss n Grind featuring dj Victor and Kid Capri on the 1's and 2's was just that, your best bet. This is a party adults save their lunch money for. From the moment you walk into the Vanguard you are greeted by beautiful people and ambiance. Armando Soria with Souldriven brought out his art and other up and coming artist's pieces on the patio. Keepin it old school the music reels you in and onto the dance floor where I ran into MTV VJ Quddus and Emmy nominated singer song writer Sy Smith. At the height of the evening Tamar Braxton ( sister of the amazing Toni Braxton) sang happy birthday to Jamie Foster Brown publisher of Sister2Sister magazine who was sitting VIP with recording artist Andre Mieux. 2:00 am and the club isn't slowin down so a tryst back up to the patio takes me to Green Mile Golden Globe and Academy Award nominee Michael Clarke Duncan. Truth is if you're not at The Vanguard for Kiss n Grind Friday nights there will nothing to kiss n tell about. -Rachel
