Hard of Darkness

Eat your heart out Keyboard Cat because Deadmau5 is in the house!  This Halloween (October 31st) is looking something brutal in the best way with the announcement of Deadmaus5 as one of the headliners for the infamous HARD Haunted Mansion 2009.  If last year’s HARD Haunted Mansion was any indicator, this year’s trick-or-treat extravaganza will be anything but tame.

Besides Deadmau5 and HARD events regular Destructo, the rest of the line-up is sewed up tighter than a tick on a dog’s back.  Shrouded in a fog of suspenseful secrecy, the remaining talent is very much in TBA status.  It’s no wonder not a whole lot of info has been released yet.  With an already impressive list of performers announced last year, NITRUS took it to the next level with the further addition of Ed Banger superstars Justice and Belgium electro pop punk princes Soulwax, in addition to a slew of special guest DJs.  Way to build up the attendees’ anticipation into a baying crescendo of bloodthirsty madness. Now that’s what I call a tease!

The consistently sold-out Canadian virtuoso DJ/producer/remixer Deadmau5 (a.k.a. Joel Zimmerman) is as celebrated as he is prolific.  With a trunk full of awards, nominations and accolades, Deadmau5 is one of today’s best-selling progressive and electro house artists.  Six albums in the making, and numerous singles/EPs/remixes under his belt, this guy really knows how to raise the roof.

Do yourself a favor if you haven’t already experienced all the force of what it means to flail your arms in a sea of euphoric costumed persons.  Make no mistake—don’t wait to get tickets for Hard Haunted Mansion 2009 because THEY WILL SELL OUT FAST.  If you’re not spooked by that thought you sure ought to be!  Boo!
