On Thursday May 20th, the Vanguard brought a night of high energy House Music to Los Angeles.  Tonight’s events occupied the two front upstairs and downstairs rooms for an intimate night of music and frivolity, but never lacked for enthusiasm.  The opening Dj’s Bentley Foy (upstairs) and DJ Clever (Downstairs) started the evening off with a running start dropping some heavy cuts and the energy was instantaneous upon entering the venue.  Rifat, David Moses, Threat Display, and Pornscore followed in suit leading up to the main act of Eletrixx.  Close to 1:00am, Pornscore was finishing up his energetic and electrifying set prior to Electrixx, and the crowd was clearly feeling his flavor and energy.  While the upstairs was at about 70% capacity, the energy was that clearly of a wall-to-wall packed club.  Everyone was dancing with reckless abandon, fists in the air, when Electrixx assumed the decks.  This duo from Germany was the perfect main act to bring the night to climax.  Electrix began with their well choreographed intro, “We are Electirxx”, which stirred the room to fever pitch before dropping heavy four-on-the-floor tracks and turned the place upside down.  Definitely a high energy and entertaining evening without a doubt.
